Workplace wellness month brings an added focus on mental health.
Perhaps one of the key factors to mental health is moving through our life in mindfulness.
Are you living mindfully?
Mindfulness, not to be confused with having a “full mind” is the practice of paying close attention to what is happening in the moment, be it a sight, a sound, a taste, a feeling, or a thought.
When we are mindful, we are in a state of awareness- and I personally believe that awareness breeds intuition. Intuition tells us when something is or isn’t in alignment with our truth, so we can act consciously, moving forward according to our highest good. This can prevent a buildup of stress that can lead to deeper issues.
I recognize that mental health is a complex and diverse issue, but I think there’s something huge to be said for taking a empowered approach in your life and following the ‘yes” feeling.
Living a mindful life is creative and guides you to live the life you’re meant to live. It isn’t without responsibility though. You have to rise to the occasion and always be true to yourself. It may not always be easy in the moment, but it will always be right.
